Ridiculous Movie Rocks, Sensible movie flops , has the audience lost its taste or is it burdened with enough responsiblity.

Bollywood is now producing Blockbuster after Blockbuster like "Dabbang" "Bodyguard" "Singham" "Mausam"
"Murder 2". These are all very original movies and have been produced and directed on the social issues in India. Our film-makers are always looking for original scripts and seriousness in the story and acting.
We have also seen a very remarkable movie "Aarakshan" on the issue of caste based reservation in India, this Film has done great justice to the issue by discussing about Private Coaching classes where students are fooled into believing that by hard work they crack prestigious entrance exams.
Okay, enough with this mockery., you all know what I am pointing at. I am talking about the absence of serious cinema in our Hindi Film Industry. The scripts are either copied from the South Indian cinema or from a Hollywood movie. The action scenes are copied, dialogues have lost depth. Serious issues are not even touched. They tried Aarakshan but didn't dig deep enough on the issue. Over the past few years, especially the last couple of years- Movies with sophisticated acting, depth in script and dialogues and a good social message have flopped and ridiculous non-sense movies have broken Box office records. This is a clear indication that something is wrong. Either the audience has lost its taste or they are already burdened with enough responsibility and don't really care about the script, story etc but just on the entertainment.
What is your take on this?
Come to RAY's 12th group discussion on this issue.

GD-10

Another day, another blast but we have learned to move on.

A few weeks ago, there was a Bomb blast in the heart of Delhi right in front of the Delhi High Court. A few weeks earlier than that, there were 3 serial blasts in Mumbai and most of us don't even remember that. Its a shame on us but hey we are Indians, we move on with our daily routine and shrug of such events as if they don't matter anymore.
Ever since I had access to electronic or print media, not a week has passed without me hearing or reading about such incidents.
"Serial blasts rocked the financial capital but the people have shown the spirit of life", such lines have become the frontrunner in all English dailies. I don't think we people have a choice here. Our security forces are ill-equipped, our leaders have Z, Z+ security but the common man has none. If he doesn't come out of hiding to earn bread he will perish. He may survive a serial blast but not this inflation. That is why despite having fears people keep on with their routine. Its like we have grown another face that is resilient to such news.
This is my opinion on this issue, I want to know yours.
So, this Thursday all LPU students who follow this blog are requested to attend the GD at room 109, block 26.
Timings: 4pm-5pm.

Blood cannot sleep, it remains awake as a nightmare.

"Why is Kasab not hanged yet?
Crores of rupees have been wasted on keeping him alive in custody, in trials, on his security and so on, why hasn't he been hanged to death?"- asked a friend of mine.
"I am not a congress government spokesperson."- I told him. We had a really long debate on this one after that. After the recent serial blasts in Mumbai, everyone is angry. But, I can't help but wonder how hanging Kasab or any other puppet will provide insurance against further attacks. Some people are putting up even more wild ideas like taking away polling rights from non-hindus. I wonder how religious fanaticism will cure the cancer of naxalite violence.
Political parties know this sentiment, this weakness of the common man and exploit it to their advantage.
Something is seriously wrong with the security agencies and the way government handles them.
Now with Anna fever sweeping the nation people have stopped talking about it. But this issue is not over. We have a judicial system which people believe in. I wonder what will happen to it if Kasab and other terrorists are not hanged. mercy petitions reach the president's office every other day. But, terrorists and anti-nationalists don't deserve mercy. This is my take on the matter. What is yours?

INERTIA OF MORAL DEGRADATION:
                                           reasons and consequences

Continuing our mission to bring rationality, reasoning and logic in youth, we thought to discuss on morality and the rate of its degradation. Some people argue that westernization has brought along with it some serious negative and self centric way of life. Me, my family, my home is what we all think about. Gone are the days when keeping one’s word was considered the highest values of a man. Now, we lie, cheat, backstab and don’t even flinch when confronted by our peers. What have we become? Is this really evolution or is our civilization on a spiral path to destruction?
