India, where we call it a country full of so many cultures and traditions, has always experienced a taste of disunity upon the fact that we are not at all equal and united. No offense but I seriously agree that we are way far being united and equal, comparatively others around us. There has always been a feeling of making the other one inferior so far as personal benefits are concerned. I feel a bit bad about the thing that even in this age we support castism by giving encouragement to policies related to reservations which is totally based upon your caste, community or religion.
Today, providing reservations, to a community or a particular caste, in India has become just a package full of vote bank and political profits. Political parties looks forward to capture as many votes are possible by just giving an assurance of providing reservation to them. And which in turn, ends up finally with corruption, riots, poverty, worst conditions and disappointments. Whether they are Gujjars fighting back for reservations or people from general categories taking reservations by just acquiring fake caste certificates..... The issue may be North-East Indians thrown out of Maharashtra by Political Parties such as Shiv Sena (Balasaheb Thackeray) or Kashmiri Pandits getting Migration quotas(Reservation)... RESERVATION has always been an issue of serious discussion.
Even before Independence social status of so called lower caste communities might have never bothered the country's development, being a colony no one cared about these things. In spite of the fact that few policies were made at that time as well which were against castism existing at that time in India.
But after a 65 year span, we still fight on issues of our caste and religion. And govt. giving it encouragement by giving reservations to them instead of a proper system in which such communities can really flourish them. Scholarships, economic aids, health aid, proper food, awareness and so much other things. By which they can actually witness the real growing India... The Transforming India, The Incredible India!!
On that note I would be finishing it from my side... though it needs a long time to discuss!!
Looking forward to a Reservation free India soon with healthy competition all around!!
Thank you!!

Thanks heena!! that was a useful information u gave us.. will surely go through it...
@Heena- thank you for the info
@Akash- you summarised all the points but I think a note on th policies of government towards NorthEast would have been helpful.
Also, we must not forget that the situation in newly independent India was very grim and caste based grievances were everywhere. I think reservation was needed then but not now.
caste system is just an arrangement of the society... depending upon the type of work the name is given....shudra doesn't mean that they are inferior on the other hand shudra mean "kshudat trayte iti kshudra" who saves our life.
brahman have to serve the society with education...kshatriya's duty is to protect from outside and inside warriors...vaisya have to maintain the buisiness, aggriculture etc,
but with the span of time and mainly due to the irresponsibility of every "varna" the whole wonderful structure got distubed...
why we forget this that due to this arrangement we known by the name "sone ki chidiya"
if our mother at home clean our toilet it doesn't mean that she is inferior or shudra...
that all is part of arrangment..
and one more thing the basic education was provided to each "varna" by the vedic culture......
